Rated load is per block. The 1040mm diameter keeps the conductor bend radius high on large section conductors, which matters more than load rating once the conductor passes about 45mm.
Matching the Block to the Tensioner and the Bundle

The SHWQN1040 is a crane or gin wheel item, not a two man lift. Lifting points are marked on the frame, the keeper and axle pins are captive so they cannot be dropped from height, and the wheels can be removed on the ground before the frame is lifted if the site has limited crane capacity. For depot storage, crib the frame so the wheels are off the floor and the groove is not loaded by the block's own weight.

Frames are checked for hanger eye alignment and weld quality, axles are dimensionally inspected, and wheels are measured for groove radius, groove width and radial runout before assembly. Each finished block is proof loaded to 1.5 times rated load and the wheels are spun under load to confirm bearing seating, then the unit is serial numbered and supplied with an inspection sheet. Load test certificates, material certificates and third party inspection records can be issued against the order drawing for project handover.

Blocks ship in reinforced plywood cases with the groove protected and lifting marks on the outside; the 330kg unit is braced to the case base. Stock models move in 3 to 7 days, monthly output is about 300 pieces, and wheels, liners, bearings, axles and keeper pins are held as service parts so a worn liner or a scored wheel is a swap rather than a replacement block.
